Personnel

Stephen Barry

President

Steve has been happily married for 23 years and has two sons ages 17 and 20. The family loves camping at the beach and mountains.

Steve's hobbies include flying stunt kites, amateur astronomy, and playing guitar and bass in a classic rock band.

Steve started Cimarron in 1991 as a new player in the two-way radio industry. Although making the company successful has been challenging, he gets a lot of satisfaction from running the company and from the many significant engineering advances the company has made in its field. He attributes much of this success to the dedicated, experienced team he’s had over the years.

A love of radio got Rich into this career. Years ago, he got the amateur radio itch and began listening to a lot of shortwave. It was his favorite hobby.

That led to his first real job with Vertex Standard (formerly Yaesu) fixing tube base stations. He moved up through many departments ending up as the LMR Product & Training Manager. He enjoyed meeting dealers and customers during his tenure at Vertex Standard.

Rich enjoys a hobby in horology (watch fanatic) and watching the 3-time Superbowl Champion Oakland Raiders. He feels blessed with a wonderful family including a wife of 20+ years, two daughters and one son.  They love going to the beach, camping and playing board games. They also enjoy just hanging out together in the back yard with their three dogs and two cats.

Irene Denzin

Operations Manager

Irene has worked in the electronics industry since her late teens and feels comfortable with it. Although she’s worked for large companies, it was unrewarding. She likes the small company feel. Her position with Cimarron lets her see all facets of the company.

Her favorite pastimes are golfing and attending the San Diego Charger games.  She has been a season ticket holder for the last ten years.  Irene has a 32 year old daughter.  They enjoy frequent trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin together.
