The VMDE-200 adds caller ID to your radio. See who is talking directly on the radio's display. Also label numeric ID's with a name tag (Alias tagging)

Encode and Decode MDC-1200 or GE Star per channel

Full integration is realized by direct CPU to CPU communication between the VMDE-200 board and the Vertex Standard radio. Programming of the VMDE-200 is done with the board installed in the radio using the radio's normal programming cable.

The VMDE-200 offers MDC-1200 or GE Star encode and decode on a per channel basis.  This includes PTT ID as well as Emergency ID.  Features include:

  • Identify every transmission source with the assigned ANI ID in Signaling formats of MDC-1200®, GE Star® and DTMF
  • Programmable ANI PTT repeat timer limits data bursts during continued conversations
  • “Go-ahead” beep sounds when ready for voice transmission
  • Courtesy beep transmitted when radio is unkeyed
  • Emergency message sent with emergency button press
  • Programmable open microphone monitor during emergency
  • Stuck microphone identification
  • ANI sent at beginning, end or both
  • Capable of displaying and recalling Alpha-numeric Aliases instead of numeric ID’s for both transmit and receive. The Alias feature handles over 500 aliases
  • Over the air activated open microphone monitor transmits ambient noise for 15 seconds
  • Over the air activated radio disable and enable
  • Sends and receives Selective call, group call and all call messages
  • Decodes and displays the ANI of the person transmitting
  • Receiver data mute
